

●Warnings and closures will be announced on all Radio Channels by the Safety Security Lead or Production.
●There are 3 Storm levels outlined below:
STORM LEVEL 1: Electrical storms approaching or developing, or recorded lightning strikes within 30 Km.
When Electrical storms are expected KD’s should be taken down and all equipment such as furniture, bins and other loose which may be blown from a position or becoming a projectile, should be secured or safely packed away. Catering tent must be closed and secured.
Work can continue as normal.
STORM LEVEL 2: Electrical storms approaching or developing, or recorded lightning strike within 15 Km. Crew put on alert to increasing likelihood of severe weather.
Jib to stand down and make safe. NEP to send HotHead operator up to Villa to stand-by to remove cameras if required. Any crew working at height to return to ground level. Normal ground-based work continues.
STORM LEVEL 3: Electrical storms approaching or developing, or recorded lightning strikes within 10 Km – EVACUATE. Measures should be taken to protect all crew and contributors by moving indoors under hard cover (Cabins, Villa or Cars). Safety Advisor, Line Producer / Production Manager, Power, Technical Manager and other relevant parties to discuss whether necessary / possible to ‘power down’ the production equipment.
●Listen to production updates for information on whether it is safe to go outside and instructions regarding potential electrical damage.
Please be aware that smoking, including vaping and e-cigarettes, is prohibited inside all buildings and vehicles onsite. There will be a clearly signed designated smoking area on site and you are required to properly dispose of cigarette butts in the bins provided.
