It is important to note that even when a joke, comment or action isn't intended to cause harm or distress, it is the impact that will be considered. If a behaviour has offended, humiliated or intimidated a colleague or witness either directly or indirectly, the motive, intention or reason is irrelevant. Please be aware that this extends past the immediate workplace and is in effect at work-related events and any incident outside the work environment where one or more colleagues are present.
Behaviours that are not considered Discrimination, Harassment and Bullying include:
●Attraction or friendship which is invited, mutual, consensual or reciprocated;
●Formal performance management;
●Legitimate disciplinary action;
●Reasonable supervisory practices;
●Allocation of work in accordance with terms and conditions of employment and company practices; and Reasonable directions by management.
Any complaints ITV receive in regard to any sort of misconduct (harassment/discrimination/sexual harassment/bullying) must be investigated by the company and should be reported to the relevant personnel as soon as possible.
